Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz finds shooting love scenes in films "strange" so she makes her co-stars laugh to help relieve the tension.
The Spanish beauty appears as Daniel Day-Lewis' mistress in movie musical 'Nine' and filmed a series of intimate clips with him, Contactmusic reported.
But Cruz did not quite enjoy the experience and turned to humour to get through the testing shots.
"It's always a very strange thing. I mean, we had the best director and I was in the best possible company, but it's always something strange... We laughed a lot together, because you have to bring humour to those situations," the actress was quoted telling US host Larry King.
The actress will seen in 'Nine' portraying a seductress Carla Albanese, who tries to charm the character of Daniel Day-Lewis'.
'Nine' boasts of star studded cast, Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren, Judy Dench, Kate Hudson, Fergie along with Cruz.
